Job summary

CIVCO Medical Solutions in Iowa seeks a Shipping Associate to support order preparation, labeling, packing, and shipment in a safety-minded team. You will handle documentation, operate the Mapics system, and follow SOPs to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

Ideal candidates will have 1–2 years of shipping-related experience, good communication skills, and the ability to work overtime as needed. This role offers full benefits and opportunities to grow through cross-training.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare orders for shipment, print labels, and locate finished goods.
• Package orders and ensure proper paperwork is kept up to date.
• Ship orders using Mapics and operate powered equipment as needed.
• Follow SOPs and safety guidelines to protect product and staff.
• Perform quality control inspections and document results.
• Assist with routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment and workspace.
• Contribute to problem solving and process improvement activities.

The Shipping Associate will incorporate all basic shipping skills and job functions including training as needed for all jobs, ensuring all standards (operational, safety, and quality) are being followed and ensuring proper paperwork and/or documentation is completed/filed. This will work on a team responsible for basic shipping functions in line with applicable SOPs, quality standards, CIVCO Values and safety programs. Skills essential to this position include ability to be organized, to set priorities and respond to changes in workload/demands, communicate effectively, innovate, and work collaboratively with other areas.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare orders for shipment, printing labels and locating finished goods
• Package orders
• Ship orders using Mapics
• Operate powered equipment
• Ensure proper paperwork and/or documentation is always being maintained
• Follow safe work habits and instructions
• Perform quality control inspections for all products and equipment, document results, and communicate defects as necessary
• Perform routine cleaning activities on production equipment and workspaces
• Follow SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) that govern all workload as well as those specific to each department and procedure
• Actively participate in problem solving and process improvement activities
• Perform all work activities in observance of the CIVCO Values and in an effort to achieve the CIVCO Imperatives and create a successful work

Education, Experience And Certifications

One to two years of related experience and/or training preferred. Associates in this role must be proficient and qualified in all basic Shipping skills.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Ability to read and understand written
• Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and
• Ability to communicate ideas in verbal and written format so others will understand
• Ability to demonstrate secondary-level computer skills including XA and Xalt, preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate secondary level math and computation skills
• Ability to walk while carrying weight, sit and stand as needed, climb ladders, lift, push, pull, and use whole body movements to complete tasks (Fit for Duty)
• Ability to work in a team environment and provide direction to others
• Ability to determine and set priorities for the team to meet production and customer needs
• Regular attendance is required for the ability to complete all work.
• Requires face-to-face interaction with team members, peers and management to complete all work and provide support.
• Ability to work more than 40 hours per week (overtime) if needed based on business demand.
