Job summary

Bimbo Bakeries USA is hiring for a Shipping Associate in Columbus, OH. The role involves loading/unloading trailers, verifying loads, and maintaining shipping yard operations. You will count and inspect products, keep records, and report discrepancies.

You will operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and related equipment while ensuring safety and accuracy. Candidates should be at least 18 years old, with 1–3 years of shipping experience, and able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand work instructions in English.
• Comfortable working in a warm environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers, verify route loads, and maintain the shipping yard.
• Count and check products for accuracy and quality; maintain records; report shortages; participate in cycle counts.
• Operate material handling equipment (pallet jack, forklift) and troubleshoot packing equipment.

What you will be doing:

• Responsible for accurately loading and unloading trailers, verifying route load(s), trailer reports, and maintaining the shipping yard.
• Count and check products for accuracy and quality, maintain accurate records, report overages and shortages, & participate in "Cycle Counts".
• Operate material handling equipment; including pallet jack, forklift, etc.
• Troubleshoot issues with packing equipment, label machines, tapers, palletizers, etc.

What we need from you:

• At least 18 years of age or older.
• 1-3 Years of shipping experiencepreferred.
• Ability to lift, push/pull up to 50lbs, stack/unstack or carry, stand and/or stoop for prolonged periods of time.
• Comfortable in a warm working environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work Nights, Weekends & Holidays.
