Job summary

Arctic Compressor in Superior, WI is seeking a Shipping Assembly Technician to join our fast-paced warehouse team. The role focuses on packaging, crating for freight, and using saws and hand tools to size plywood and assemble crates for safe shipping.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and work with a Production Manager in a part-time schedule Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM - Noon.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with power tools such as saws and drills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Critical thinking and a proactive approach to challenges.
• Able to stand or walk for 4 hours per day and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Forklift experience is desirable but not required.

Summary:

The Shipping Assembly Technician plays a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient shipping operations. This position requires innovation, speed, and execution in packaging of parcel shipments and crating for freight shipments. A resourceful and independent problem solver, the Shipping Assembly Technician will work with saws and hand tools to cut plywood to specific measurements and assemble crates around products to ensure safe and secure shipping experience. Passion, urgency, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
