Amentum in Allen Park, MI is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Technician to support our automotive test facilities. You will coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, organize parts for testing, and work closely with engineers and dock personnel to determine post-test actions.

The role requires a High School diploma, valid driver's license, and ability to use MS Office; forklift experience and safety focus are a plus.

We are hiring a Shipping and Receiving Technician to work in Allen Park, MI.

This is a position for thosewith some knowledge and experience in automotive, either on the job or as a hobby. Description:

• Coordinate all incoming and outgoing materials through shipping dock.

• Coordinate with engineers, customers, other material coordinators and lab personal to determine what happens post-test to parts (ship, scrap, store, etc)
• Daily interaction with engineers, technicians, dock personnel, and management to support daily operations
• Write shippers for outgoing parts, as well as tag and organize parts for shipping
• Maintain safe working area and follow all lab safety rules & guidelines.
• Maintain shipping records for off-site storage

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND /OR SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma
• Must have valid state drivers’ license
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload on a daily basis (incoming and outgoing)
• Ability to work with others and take directions
• Good computer skills a must including Microsoft Office suite
• Experience shipping hazardous materials a plus (not required)

Criticality of Attendance

• Shift, 1st, 2nd, 3rd: Days (7:00AM – 3:30PM). Shift assignment is subject to change so candidate must be flexible with available work hours. Possibility of moving to an afternoon shift for several months at a time.

• Work hours are normally 8 hours per day and 5 days per week, Monday-Friday. Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary. Must have flexibility of work days to cover weekend testing requirements.

• Must complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, PHMV exam, and background check.
• Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and co-workers. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner. Dependable personal transportation to work site is required.
