Job summary

Emmi Roth is seeking a Shipping Coordinator to ensure the efficient movement of outgoing orders. You will work as part of a team to ship products accurately and quickly, while maintaining proper documentation and communicating with internal stakeholders.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and strong organizational abilities. Warehouse/shipping experience is desirable; no travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures accurate address and required shipment paperwork.
• Maintains shipment data, transportation method, space and charges.
• Completes shipping reports and documents in tracking systems.
• Communicates shortages and order revisions to involved parties.
• Tracks temperature tails on all shipped orders and manages CHEP accounts.
• Assists in troubleshooting the JD Edwards system and orders supplies.

Job Summary

The Shipping Coordinator ensures the effective and efficient movement of outgoing orders. Communicating effectively, works as a member of a team to ship the product in a thorough, accurate and rapid-response manner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensures accurate address
• Required shipment paperwork; shipment data, transportation method, transportation space and shipping charges, bill of ladings
• Relies on instructions, pre-established guidelines and adheres to practice, policy and procedure of the assigned location to perform the functions of the job
• Completes shipping reports
• Ensures all documentation is in order and entered into the appropriate tracking system
• Efficiently communicate shortage notices and order revisions to involved parties
• Track and comply with special shipping requirements for orders
• Tracks the temperature tails (Pimm log tags) on all shipped orders
• Manage CHEP account(s) as assigned
• Assist in troubleshooting of the JD Edwards system
• Order supplies, including templates, from vendors and track inventory stock
• Attend staff and department meetings
• Actively participate on EOE Teams that improve workplace safety, reduce waste and improve factory efficiencies
• Report any and all injuries to your supervisor or manager at the time of injury.
• May be required to work overtime if deemed necessary with occasional weekend work.
• Performs all other duties as assigned
• Complete all required training in a timely manner
• Adhere to ERU food safety policies and all government food safety and sanitation regulations (ex. FDA, HACCP, GMP, OSHA)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Some warehouse or shipping experience desired
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, precentages, fractions, and decimals
• Basic computer skills including e-mail, word processing, and spreadsheets
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure
• History of good attendance
• Good organization and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented nature
• Ability to work with limited supervision
• No travel required

Physical Demands

The Shipping Coordinator may spend up to 8 hours standing and sitting, bending, twisting, turning, using arms and hands for reaching, lift items weighing up to 50 pounds, may need to climb up and down ladders, will need to be able to see naturally or with correction, to safely perform designated tasks.

Work Environment

The distribution center floor is a busy facility. The Shipping Coordinator will have exposure to a moderate level of constant noise that may make it difficult to concentrate. The plant conditions vary greatly in temperatures from hot and cold with exposure to dust and fumes. The Shipping Coordinator will need to be able to work with food grade chemicals required for proper daily sanitation of all equipment.

The office may be a busy facility. The Shipping Coordinator may have to manage a number of projects at one time, and may be interrupted frequently to meet the needs and requests of members, residents, clients and contractors. The Shipping Coordinator will need excellent organizational and time and stress management skills to complete the required tasks. The office may be noisy and busy making it difficult for the Scheduling Coordinator to concentrate. The Scheduling Coordinator will have to manage a number of requests and situations at one time
