Job summary

Emerald Technologies is an electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider for OEM customers, with design and manufacturing facilities across California, Michigan, New Hampshire, Oregon, and facilities overseas in China and Malaysia.

The Shipping and Receiving Associate role is based in Saline, MI and focuses on managing outgoing shipments, processing orders, and coordinating with carriers to ensure timely delivery and accurate shipping documentation.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent; an associate’s degree in business or related field acceptable.
  • Minimum one year of related receiving/warehouse experience and/or training required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; exemplary customer care skills.
  • Attention to detail; accuracy in verifying shipments, maintaining records, and multitasking.
  • Ability to keep track of inventory, manage paperwork, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong computer skills: Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews customer requirements for outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet customer specifications. Weighs and processes shipments via UPS and FedEx.
  • Verifies accuracy of shipping notices, bill of lading (BOLs), invoices, orders, and other records.
  • Coordinates with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries, track shipments, and communicate updates to managers.
  • Utilizes reports to pull parts from production and confirm that product is shipping from the correct order.
  • Prints daily sales receipts and cross-checks computer software to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintains accurate records of all shipments and transactions, including shipping logs.

Emerald Technologies has an exciting opportunity for an organized and proficient Shipping and Receiving Associate to join its Saline, MI team! The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for managing all outgoing shipments, accurately and efficiently processing, packaging, and shipping Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) products. This role requires carrier interfaces; therefore, exemplary customer care skills and the ability to communicate effectively are required.

Responsibilities of the Shipping and Receiving Associate:
