Job summary

Starpath Robotics Inc. in Carson, CA is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Associate to manage the daily flow of materials, components, and flight hardware.

You will document receipts, unload shipments, and ensure items reach the correct teams on schedule. The role requires forklift operation, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Finance.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in shipping, receiving, warehousing, inventory, logistics, or a related role.
• Experience safely operating a forklift in a warehouse, manufacturing, or shipping environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
• Strong attention to detail and a consistent record of accurate documentation.
• Experience reviewing purchase orders, packing slips, shipping labels, and carrier documentation.
• Ability to use inventory, ERP, or warehouse-management systems.
• Basic proficiency with email, spreadsheets, and standard workplace software.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to work full-time on-site.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, inspect, and document incoming materials, components, equipment, and supplies
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment
• Load and unload delivery vehicles while protecting materials from damage
• Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and other documentation
• Identify and elevate shortages, damaged materials, documentation errors, and other discrepancies
• Accurately record receipts, material movements, and shipment details in the company’s inventory or ERP system
• Label, organize, store, and distribute materials to the appropriate teams and locations
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to resolve receiving issues
• Prepare domestic and international shipments, including packaging, labeling, weighing, and completing required documentation
• Select appropriate packaging methods to protect delicate, high-value, or mission-critical hardware
• Schedule pickups and coordinate with carriers such as UPS, FedEx, DHL, and freight providers
• Support inventory counts, cycle counts, material kitting, and stockroom organization
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient shipping and receiving area
• Follow procedures for handling sensitive, controlled, hazardous, or electrostatic-discharge-sensitive materials
• Help improve shipping, receiving, inventory, and material-handling processes as the company grows

The Role

Starpath is looking for a highly organized, hands-on Shipping and Receiving Associate to support the movement of materials, components, and flight hardware through our facility.

You will own the day-to-day receiving and shipping process, ensuring that incoming materials are accurately documented, properly handled, and delivered to the right teams. You will also prepare outgoing shipments, maintain accurate inventory records, and help keep our stockroom and receiving areas organized.

The right person for this role takes pride in accuracy, moves with urgency, and understands that reliable material flow is critical to keeping engineering and production on schedule.

• Experience in aerospace, automotive, defense, advanced manufacturing, or another hardware-focused environment

• Experience handling precision components, electronics, or high-value hardware

• Familiarity with lot, batch, serial-number, and revision-controlled inventory

• Experience with domestic and international shipping documentation

• Familiarity with hazardous-material shipping requirements

• Experience working in an ERP system

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move materials for extended periods

• Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment

• Ability to work around warehouse, manufacturing, and testing activities

• Willingness to work occasional overtime or adjusted hours when required to support critical shipments
