Job summary

Protolabs in Nashua, NH is hiring a Shipping and Receiving Associate for first shift (Mon to Fri, 12pm–8pm). You will prepare and process domestic and international shipments, select carriers, and maintain shipping history in our ERP and intranet systems.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, 2+ years shipping/receiving experience, forklift experience, and strong communication. You must work safely, independently, and in a fast-paced, team‑oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Resolve shipping discrepancies with internal customers.
• Communicate shipping issues to customer service for resolution.
• Support Sales/Marketing/Customer Service with tradeshow materials and samples.
• Maintain a clean, safe, efficient work area and adhere to procedures.
• Seek process and personal performance improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Associate!

First Shift - Mon to Fri 12pm to 8pm

The Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for performing a variety of shipping and receiving tasks in a manufacturing environment.

What you will do:

• Prepare and process all domestic and international shipments using UPS, FedEx, LTL and other carriers and couriers.
• Determine appropriate carrier and method of shipment required to meet internal and external customer demands.
• Maintain internal databases including intranet and ERP system to ensure accurate shipping history.
• Work with internal customers to resolve customer service issues, including, but not limited to: shipping errors, order entry errors, late orders, packing slip/part count/PO discrepancies.
• Proactively communicate shipping issues to customer service for resolution.
• Support other departments (Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service) with preparing and shipping tradeshow supplies, marketing materials, and samples by requested ship method.
• Maintain clean and organized work area with emphasis on safety, quality, efficiency, and utilization.
• Continually seek to improve work processes and individual performance.
• Adhere to all company policies and operational procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What it takes:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of shipping and receiving experience
• Forklift experience
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work safely with sharp tools/objects, such as but not limited to, hobby knives, utility knives, pliers
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to multitask and prioritize own workload
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment
• Ability to comprehend and follow printed and computer-screen instructions, and direction from supervisors or technical leads
• Strong sense of urgency
• Solid customer service skills

$19.66 - $25 an hour

Plus, additional Second Shift differential of $2.40

Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
