Job summary

McNICHOLS seeks a Shipping and Forklift Operator in Tampa, FL. You will perform warehouse functions including shipping, receiving, inventory picking, and order wrapping per detailed requirements.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts, processing material, and ensuring accurate shipment timelines while maintaining safety and quality procedures. Training and growth are emphasized within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Intermediate computer knowledge; able to use inventory systems and RF scanners.
• Experience with UPS Worldship and FedEx shipping programs preferred.
• Experience driving a forklift; side loader and overhead crane experience a plus.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform other physical tasks.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Pack and ship customer orders.
• Accurately receive incoming material and maintain inventory integrity.
• Safely operate forklifts and other lift equipment; load and unload LTL carriers.
• Organize material pulls for efficient workflow.
• Process incoming material including inspection and receiving POs; interbranch and vendor material and customer returns.
• Provide excellent customer service; answer phone and direct walk-up customers to sales.
• Ensure timely shipment of orders and communicate issues.
• Maintain high quality standards by following procedures and processes.
• Follow required safety and quality procedures.
• Order and maintain shipping supplies such as skids, strapping and labels.
• Tag and hold incoming LTL material or returned orders for receiving.
• Call carriers to arrange pickups.
• Use power tools like chop saws, banders, and packaging machines.
• Maintain equipment with routine preventative maintenance.

We have an exciting opportunity for aShipping and Forklift Operator to join our team. TheShipping and Forklift Operator is responsible for performing warehouse functions including shipping, receiving, picking inventory and wrapping/crating orders according to detailed order and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pack and ship customer orders.
