Job summary

AMMEGA is seeking a Shipper & Receiver to manage daily receipts and shipments for our facility in Franklin Park, IL. The role involves packaging, labeling, inventory transfers, and forklift use to move and ship goods efficiently.

The position requires basic math skills, high school diploma or GED, 1–3 years in retail or e-commerce, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. You will follow safety policies and work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Solid basic math skills using addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.
• Ability to be trained/certified on powered industrial truck (P.I.T.).
• Understand stock locator system.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily receipts and shipments for the facility, including packaging and labeling of all outgoing material and transferring inventory for incoming products.
• Observe and follow safety rules as prescribed by the safety policy.
• Complete an expected amount of work based on time studies in accordance with schedule.
• Operate all necessary equipment in a proficient manner.
• Print daily sales receipts and cross-check with computer software to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare and print shipping labels for shipping needs.
• Assemble and fill boxes and cartons with items to be shipped.
• Affix proper postage to each package in preparation for shipping.
• Track inventory and report shortages to the sales team to update the website.
• Process orders based on the buyer’s preferred shipping system (e.g., USPS, UPS, FedEx).
• Contact carrier and schedule shipping for each package.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and update supplies as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.

This is a shipper position, very physical job, a lot of packing.

Responsibilities

• The Shipper & Receiver’s primary responsibility is to manage the daily receipts and shipments for the facility. It includes packaging and labeling of all outgoing material and as well as a transfer of inventory for all incoming products. This role is required to be familiar with forklift operation and proper lifting techniques associated with moving and handling of material.
• Observe and follow safety rules as prescribed by the safety policy.
• Completes an expected amount of work based on time studies in accordance with schedule.
• Able to operate all necessary equipment in a proficient manner.
• Print daily sales receipts and cross-check with computer software to ensure accuracy
• Prepare and print shipping labels corresponding to shipping needs
• Assemble and fill boxes and other cartons with items that need to be shipped
