Job summary

Marmon Utility LLC, Milford, NH, is seeking a Shipper Operator to operate the high-speed packaging line, cut master cable lengths, and perform rework, inspection, and packaging for shipment. The role supports ensuring quality, safety, and on-time delivery in a demanding manufacturing environment.

You will handle load preparation, record-keeping, and adherence to customer specifications, with further opportunities for skill development and career growth within Marmon’s utility brands.

Qualifications

• Experience in the wire & cable industry is a plus.
• Operation of high-speed packaging line equipment.
• Ability to read micrometers and other precision tools.
• Understand safety issues with hazards and chemicals in the line.

Responsibilities

• Operate the high-speed packaging line and cut master cables to shipping lengths.
• Perform rework, preparation, inspection, and packaging of cable products.
• Load finished products for shipment and ensure accurate records for traceability.
• Ensure compliance with packaging specs and customer instructions prior to release.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping at the operating station.
• Schedule work to meet customer due dates and shipping deadlines.

If you want a stable job in an essential industry where your hands-on skills make a real impact, we’d love to have you on our team.**What We Offer (Culture, Perks & Benefits)*** Health, dental, vision insurance and holiday pay effective on day 1 of employment* Eligible for annual production bonus* Employer 401k contribution with company match* Annual merit increase (based on performance)* Competitive differential pay for select shifts* Paid vacation and sick time (accrued and prorated)* Paid Parental leave* Life Insurance, long-term, short-term disability offered company paid benefit* Personal Protective Equipment (safety) Reimbursement* Swag allowance (yearly)* Employee Assistance Program* Employee discount programs* Tuition reimbursement* Career growth opportunities* Professional development support* Quarterly Perfect attendance bonus* Multiple shift options**POSITION SUMMARY**Operates the high-speed packaging line cutting master cable lengths to shipping lengths, perform a variety of rework, preparation, inspection, packaging cable products and load finished cable products for shipment to customers and consistently meeting quality and productivity requirements in a safe manner with minimum scrap.**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*** Always complies with company safety rules during working hours and ensures the safety of himself/herself and others at his/her operating station.* Verifies that the product conforms with the packaging requirements stated in the engineering specifications and to any other special customer instructions prior to release for shipment.* Visually inspects all empty take-up reels for proper size, strength, appearance and inside of flanges for foreign material that could cause damage to the finished product produced.* Verifies that there is no physical damage to the cable product, packaging material and/or reel.* Generates product identification tags for finished product and maintains accurate record keeping of all pertinent information required by Hendrix* Clear hold tags (non-conforming product) as instructed to meet internal/customer specification and interact with Quality Control to verify product conformance.* Terminate cable ends when required.* Weigh work center scrap, including bare balances, complete scrap tag requirements, including scrap reporting and transport it to a designated area.* Verifies the measuring devices are calibrated.* Schedule and complete work assignments in accordance with customer due dates to meet* scheduled shipping dates.* Loads trucks in conformance with the shipping requirements stated on the work order and/or the* Hendrix standards, as applicable.**EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS*** Experience in the wire & cable industry a plus.* Material handling techniques.* Operation of high-speed packaging line equipment.* High voltage testing and fault location.* Understands the safety issues associated with chemicals, the high-speed packaging line, high voltage testing and various tools used in the work area.* Tools and measuring devices applicable to the industry.* ISO requirements pertaining to the lines.* Read micrometers and other related precision tools.* Communicate effectively to receive and pass on information and instructions.* Mechanical aptitude regarding line operation and troubleshooting of basic line problems.* Fulfill simple computer tasksFollowing receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.We are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
