100Hires, Inc. is seeking a Shipfitter 1st Class in Pascagoula, MS to join a premier shipbuilding team. You will cut, fit, and assemble steel components to tight tolerances, reading blueprints and using grinders, torches, and jacks to shape structures for battle-ready vessels.

This full-time role offers $43.50/hour plus $180/day per diem, with opportunities to advance in a safety‑driven, collaborative environment on mission-critical projects.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of shipfitting or structural steel fabrication experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints (metric and standard).
  • Strong math, reading, and comprehension abilities.
  • Proficiency with fabrication tools and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

  • Cut, grind, bend, and shape steel components to specified measurements and angles.
  • Read and interpret complex blueprints and templates to assemble and install structural ship parts.
  • Use trade-specific tools to fabricate and fit steel plates and beams.
  • Align and secure metal components for accurate structural assembly.
  • Work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions across multiple shifts to meet production schedules.
  • Maintain exemplary safety standards, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.

Shipfitter 1st Class – Pascagoula, MS$43.50/hour + $180/day per diem | Full-Time | Structural Steel & ShipbuildingAbout the RoleJoin a premier shipbuilding team constructing battle-tested vessels for the future. As a Shipfitter 1st Class, you’ll be at the core of assembling and fitting steel structures, ensuring ships are built to the highest standards of strength and precision.
