Job summary

U.S. Pacific Fleet under the Department of the Navy seeks a Shipbuilding Specialist to develop repair specifications and government estimates for diverse shipbuilding contracts. The role involves aligning requirements with federal guidelines and coordinating with program offices to support procurement and contracting activities.

Qualified applicants may substitute education for experience at the GS-11 level, including Ph.D. or related graduate degrees; a Secret security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree may substitute education for experience at the GS-11 level.
• Three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree may substitute experience.
• An LL.M. degree related to the position may substitute education for experience.

Requirements & Education

Education may be substituted for experience at the GS-11 level ONLY as follows: Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree; OR Successful completion of an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
