Job summary

Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding in Sturgeon Bay, WI, is seeking a Detail Planner responsible for developing detailed production work packages for shipbuilding operations. The role reviews drawings, estimates labor and materials, prepares work orders, and coordinates with Engineering, Production, and Materials to ensure planning readiness and successful execution.

Associates degree or equivalent required.
2 years related experience required.
Knowledge of shipbuilding workflow, material processing, and production processes preferred.
Ability to read engineering drawings.
Working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

Review drawings and documentation to develop work packages, production requirements, and instructions.
Prepare labor and material estimates, including requirements for production activities.
Generate and release work orders including job requirements, material needs, sequencing, and schedule.
Coordinate with cross functional teams to resolve issues, support fabrication, and improve production.
Other duties as assigned.
