Job summary

Disney Cruise Line is seeking a Senior Environmental Officer to supervise the shipboard environmental policy and ensure compliance with MARPOL and other regulations. You will train crew, maintain required logs, and report to the Master.

You will coordinate with the Captain and shoreside Environmental Affairs, oversee waste and chemical management, and support environmental programs across vessel operations.

Qualifications

• Know MARPOL and international/national environmental laws.
• Maintain environmental Logs and Records.
• Coordinate environmental committee meetings and training.

Responsibilities

• Supervise implementation of environmental policy and procedures aboard the vessel.
• Verify compliance with MARPOL and other laws.
• Maintain environmental logs and records; ensure placards/notices posted.
• Coordinate Environmental Committee meetings (monthly) and report to Master.
• Provide training to crew on environmental responsibilities.
• Advise ship leaders on operations affecting the environment.
• Work with Captain and shoreside Environmental Affairs to ensure SMS compliance.
• Oversee waste, chemical management, spill response, potable water, and wastewater operations.
