Job summary

Scientific Research Corporation seeks an Electrical QA Specialist to support shipboard C4I integrations onboard CVN74 and CVN75 in Newport News, VA. You will oversee government inspections, analyze documents, generate and review CRs/CFRs, and maintain QA workbooks per NSI 009-04 and TS 9090-310G.

The role includes creating Test & Inspection Plans and ensuring all QA docs are properly signed. Requirements include 2–5 years of QA experience and the ability to access Newport News Shipyard;

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in quality assurance/control.
• Must be able to obtain access to Newport News Shipyard.
• Familiarity with government/military QA standards is required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches and technical instructions.
• Experience with NAVSEA standards and ISO 9001:2015 requirements is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing government inspections/checkpoints (I, V, IG).
• Analyzing documents, drawings, and quality procedures.
• Generating, reviewing, and answering CRs/CFRs.
• Maintaining QA workbooks per NSI 009-04 and TS 9090-310G.
• Creating and maintaining Test and Inspection Plans.
• Ensuring QA forms and OQE signatures meet requirements.
• Maintaining test equipment calibration and serialization.
• Performing audits and surveillances to maintain QMS requirements.
• Root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Providing feedback to project and support personnel for improvement.
