Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. Maritime Division seeks a skilled welder to support C4ISR installations on ships and submarines, with work primarily in San Diego, CA and Norfolk, VA.

Occasional travel to other Navy ports is required. You must read drawings, weld in all positions, and pass background checks for clearance. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 1–2 years welding experience, ASNT NDT Level I or related certifications, and AWS welding certifications; valid driver's license and safety

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years welding experience required.
• ASNT NDT Level I certification or relevant experience.
• AWS Certified Welding Supervisor/Inspector or other certification preferred.
• Read and interpret specifications and shipyard drawings.

Responsibilities

• Weld in all positions and for all metals and alloys per specs.
• Fabricate or repair foundations, cable collars, hangers, and penetrations.
• Perform thermal cutting and grinding; repair broken parts.
• Organize and schedule welding jobs to ensure on-time completion.
