Job description

Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The role involves performing tasks as directed to gain management skills, understanding key business aspects like building customer loyalty through exceptional service, and learning about CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training, trainees may be considered for promotion to open supervisory positions. These roles support store management by driving store performance and ensuring smooth operations, especially when no manager is onsite.

Essential Functions
  1. Management
  2. Work effectively with store management and staff
  3. Supervise store activities through assigning, directing, and following up
  4. Communicate effectively with management and staff
  5. Customer Service
  6. Assist customers with questions and complaints
  7. Promote CVS customer service culture (greet, offer help, thank)
  8. Handle customer relations in accordance with company policy
  9. Maintain customer confidentiality
Qualifications

Required: Deductive reasoning, analytical and computer skills, advanced communication skills, flexible schedule including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred: Retail experience.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
