Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position that prepares an employee for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The role involves performing work as directed to prepare for supervisory responsibilities, completing basic operations and management skills training, and learning about key aspects of the business and CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees are eligible for promotion to open supervisor positions. These leadership roles support the store management team in driving store performance and building customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes all opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

1. Management

3. Supervise store crew activities, assign tasks, and communicate effectively

5. Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints
6. Promote CVS customer service culture (greet, help, thank)
7. Handle customer relations issues per company policy to ensure a positive shopping experience
8. Maintain customer confidentiality

Qualifications

Required: Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer skills, advanced communication skills, flexible schedule including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred: Retail experience

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Additional Details

• Anticipated weekly hours: 28
• Part-time position
• Pay Range: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location
