Description of the CVS Health Shift Supervisor Trainee Role

Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. Trainees will perform assigned tasks, complete basic management and operations training, and learn about key aspects of our business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and understanding CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful training completion, trainees are eligible for promotion to open supervisory positions. These leadership roles support store management in executing store operations, enhancing performance, and fostering customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is present onsite, the supervisor leads the store staff, ensures smooth operations, and oversees opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions

  3. Promote CVS customer service culture by greeting, helping, and thanking customers
  4. Handle customer relations issues according to company policy, ensuring a positive shopping experience
  5. Maintain customer confidentiality
Qualifications

Required: Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer proficiency, and advanced communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred: Retail experience

Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Additional Details

Anticipated weekly hours: 12

Time type: Part-time

Pay range: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, geography, and other factors.
