Job summary

Starbucks Coffee Company in Indianapolis is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead with craft and heart, ensuring an inviting, coffeehouse atmosphere and smooth daily operations.

You will guide a small team, maintain quality beverages and food to standard recipes, and deliver exceptional customer service while adhering to security and store policies.

This role emphasizes teamwork, quick learning, and strong communication as you support guests and partners throughout shift.

Qualifications

• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality, with or without accommodation.
• Available to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Meet store policies and standards, including quality beverages/food, cash handling, and safety.
• Six months' experience interacting with customers and fulfilling requests.
• At least six months' experience delegating tasks to others.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise the shift team to ensure smooth operations.
• Prepare and coach beverage and food preparation to standard recipes.
• Coach and delegate tasks to two or more employees as needed.
• Maintain customer service quality and a welcoming store environment.

Basic Qualifications

• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays
• Meet store operating policies and standards, including providing quality beverages and food products, cash handling and store safety and security, with or without reasonable accommodations
• Six (6) months of experience in a position that required constant interacting with and fulfilling the requests of customers
• Prepare and coach the preparation of food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredients
• At least six (6) months of experience delegating tasks to other employees and/or coordinating the tasks of two (2) or more employees
