Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is recruiting a Shift Supervisor to lead shifts and ensure exceptional customer service. You will oversee team members, train new hires, and uphold brand standards and food safety requirements.

Responsibilities include cash handling, POS operation, and maintaining product quality while supporting daily operations across the plaza. A friendly, proactive approach and reliability are essential for success in this role.

Qualificações

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging with customers and resolving complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists per company policies.
• Operate POS system, process payments, and follow all cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling procedures including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing and temperature checks.
• Perform kitchen-related tasks such as prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of plaza products and services.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements, and all company policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of issues observed or experienced.
• Execute other tasks as assigned.

What You’ll Do

As the Shift Supervisor , you will be responsible for leading shifts by ensuring team members provide exceptional customer service, thoroughly complete their job duties, and follow all brand standards & food safety requirements. This position is charged with assisting to train newly hired team members and monitoring for compliance with cash handling policies and procedures.

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging in positive, helpful interactions with customers (travelers) and appropriately resolve customer complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies/procedures.
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) system, accurately process & receive payment from customers, and follow all customer service and cash handling policies and procedures.
• Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed including wrapping, labelling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking temperature of products.
• Complete with a variety of kitchen-related tasks including prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain a solid knowledge of products and services available in the plaza.
• Assist in the training of new team members.
• Follow required brand standards, food safety requirements, as well as all company policies and procedures.
• Inform plaza leadership of any observations, concerns, or problems that are witnessed or experienced.
• Execute a variety of other tasks as assigned.

Essential Experience & Skills

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Requirements

• Able to stand and walk for an extended period of time.
• Frequently bend, twist, lift and carry at least 40 pounds.
• Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers.
• Available to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation.
