Job summary

MAT Holdings Inc. is expanding its distribution operations in Shannon, Mississippi and seeks a Shift Supervisor to coordinate outbound shipping activities.

You will lead a team, verify shipments, and ensure safety and accuracy in loading and fulfillment, while upholding company policies and procedures. Ideal candidates have warehouse leadership experience, a high school diploma or GED, bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, and can obtain a forklift license through the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years warehousing leadership experience.
• Forklift license obtainable through the company.
• Bilingual – English & Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review orders to determine shipping priorities and equipment needs.
• Oversee outgoing shipping activities for accuracy and condition of loads.
• Lead shift in efficient processing of freight including picking, checking and loading.
• Inspect material handling equipment and arrange repairs as needed.
• Ensure accuracy of all work performed.
• Adhere to standardized procedures and safety policies.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and housekeeping.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating activities of workers engaged in outbound shipping. This includes verifying and keeping records on outgoing shipments, and preparing items for shipment. They will serve as an example to subordinates and enforce all applicable safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Reviews orders, to determine shipping priorities, work assignments & equipment required to meeting shipping schedules
• Oversees outgoing shipping activities to ensure other fulfillment accuracy, completeness, & condition of loads
• Responsible for leading their shift in the efficient processing of freight in order picking, checking & loading
• Inspects material handling equipment for defects & notifies maintenance personnel or contacts outside service facility for repair
• Responsible for the accuracy of all work performed
• Responsible for adherence & execution of standardized procedures
• Maintain good housekeeping in area & adhere to established Company Safety policies at all times
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Competencies

• Ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Efficient at tracking and resolving non-conforming product(s)
• Proficient in SAP& Microsoft Office
• Efficient with RF Scanners
• Must be able to be PIT certified
• Bilingual(Spanish) is a plus

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• 2+ year of warehousing experience in leadership role
• Must be able to obtain forklift license through the Company
• Bilingual – English & Spanish speaking preferred
