Job summary

Compass Group USA is hiring a full-time Shift Supervisor at the University of Pennsylvania location in Philadelphia. The role requires someone who can direct associates on a shift, ensure policy and safety standards are followed, and manage daily operations.

You will train staff, prepare schedules, evaluate performance, and serve as a point of contact for staff. Night and weekend availability is required. Competitive hourly pay ranges from $18 to $20, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory, food service, and food safety experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Direct the activities of associates during a shift and ensure that job expectations are completed according to policy and procedure.
• Provide training and create work schedules.
• Evaluate the performance of workers, reward high performers and discipline employees who fail to meet standards.
• Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure quality, productivity and safety goals are met.
• Serve as a contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
• Mentor and develop employees and encourage advancement within the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
