Job summary

Open Arms Care Corporation is seeking a Shift Supervisor / Assistant House Manager to create a safe, supportive environment for clients and to mentor Direct Support Professionals. You will oversee daily home operations, coordinate scheduling, and act as the liaison between the site and administrative teams.

You will lead DSPs during shifts, provide hands-on care, and ensure quality treatment with attention to safety and documentation, including on-call rotations and staff development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• 3+ years working directly with ID/DD clients preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
• PCM certification within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support DSP teams during shifts.
• Provide hands-on client care and active treatment.
• Coach and develop staff through daily guidance and bi-monthly 1:1 meetings.
• Ensure documentation compliance (bed checks, shift notes, repositioning notes).
• Maintain a safe, clean, welcoming environment.
• Manage supplies, schedules, and operational needs.
• Represent OAC positively in the community, meetings, and events.
• Participate in client activities and outings.
• Complete on-call rotation with counterparts.
• Assist with employee development and onboarding.
