Job summary

Eurest at Cummins Rocky Mount Engine Plant in Whitakers, NC is seeking a full-time Shift Supervisor to direct associates on a shift and ensure tasks meet policy and quality standards. This role is based at the Whitakers location with a standard five-day schedule and weekend shifts as needed.

Ideal candidates have prior food service or retail supervisory experience and can train staff, schedule shifts, evaluate performance, and generate reports.

Qualifications

• Prior Food Service and retail supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience directing a team during a shift.
• Experience with training and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Direct the activities of associates during a shift and ensure tasks meet policy and standards.
• Provide training and create work schedules for staff.
• Evaluate performance, reward high performers and address underperformance.
• Prepare production or sales reports and monitor quality, productivity and safety.
• Serve as the primary contact for employee concerns and time-off requests.
• Mentor employees and encourage career development within the organization.

Job Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing training and creating work schedules.
• Evaluating the performance of workers, rewarding high performers and disciplining employees who fail to meet reasonable standards of work performance.
• Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure their unit meets the expectations for quality, productivity and safety.
• Acts as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
• May act as a mentor, develop employees and encourage workers to set goals and strive for advancement within the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
