Chartwells K12 in Newark, NJ, is seeking a Shift Supervisor for KIPP Newark location. The role is full-time, Monday–Friday, 6:30 am–2:30 pm, with online applications accepted. A valid food safety certification is required.

You will direct associates on shift, train staff, schedule workloads, and monitor performance to meet quality, productivity and safety standards. You will also prepare reports and serve as the main contact for time-off requests and staff concerns.

Job Summary

• Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure their unit meets the expectations for quality, productivity and safety.
• Acts as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
• May act as a mentor, develop employees and encourage workers to set goals and strive for advancement within the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Because this position requires you to perform services in an educational facility, there may be periods when the Company does not require you to perform work (such as winter and summer breaks when food service needs decline or cease).
