Job summary

Compass Group USA’s ESFM division is seeking a full-time Shift Supervisor at the Buffalo, NY location (1339 South Park Avenue). You will direct associates during a shift, train staff, and ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards are met.

Required are janitorial management experience and Microsoft Excel proficiency; the role includes training on a floor scrubber and a Sunday-Thursday, 10:30 pm–7:00 am schedule.

• Experience in janitorial management is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.

Responsibilities

• Direct the activities of associates during a shift and ensure tasks meet policy and procedures.
• Evaluate performance, reward high performers, and discipline under standards.
• Prepare production or sales reports and ensure quality, productivity, and safety goals.
• Serve as the contact for employee complaints or time-off requests.
• Mentor employees and encourage advancement within the company.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Summary: Direct the activities of associates during a specific shift and oversee that assigned job expectations are completed while policy and procedure is maintained.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing training and creating work schedules.
• Evaluating the performance of workers, rewarding high performers and disciplining employees who fail to meet reasonable standards of work performance.
• Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure their unit meets the expectations for quality, productivity and safety.
• Acts as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
• May act as a mentor, develop employees and encourage workers to set goals and strive for advancement within the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
