Job summary

Cardinal McCloskey Community Services is seeking a Shift Supervisor in New York to support direct support professionals and individuals served, promoting independence and community inclusion. The role involves assisting in daily residence operations and ensuring program plans are implemented with respect and dignity.

On-call coverage is required when the Residence Manager and Assistant Residence Manager are absent, and a valid NY driver’s license plus relevant certifications are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and one-year experience in DD residential services preferred.
• Valid New York State driver's license required.
• Must maintain required certifications, i.e. AMAP, CPR, First Aid, SCIP.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and supervision to direct support professionals and individuals served to foster independence, community growth, social maturity, and inclusion.
• Assist the residence manager and assistant residence manager in the tasks related to the total daily operation of the residence.
• This position is required to be on call during the absence of the Residence Manager and/or Assistant Residence Manager.

Participate in the development and assist in the implementation of each program plan with the understanding that all people have the ability to participate in one's community in a variety of ways. Assist the residence manager and assistant residence manager in the tasks related to the total daily operation of the residence.

This position is required to be on call during the absence of the Residence Manager and/or Assistant Residence Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and one-year experience in DD residential services preferred.
• Valid New York State driver's license required (acceptable driving record as issued by Department of Motor Vehicles.)
• Must maintain required certifications, i.e. AMAP, CPR, First Aid, SCIP.
