Job summary

Wegmans in Owings Mills, MD offers a six-month structured training program to develop future leaders. You’ll receive mentorship and hands-on experience, with an interview for or placement as a Team Leader after successful completion.

You’ll gain exposure to customer service excellence, team supervision and store operations in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. A bonus up to $1,000 and comprehensive benefits accompany the program.

• Customer service experience, preferably in a food service, grocery, or retail setting.
• Computer skills.
• Experience leading a team (preferred).

Work Environment:

The physical demands of this work are classified as medium. Work includes walking, standing for long periods, repetitive hand and arm movements, occasional heavy lifting, bending, climbing, and reaching, along with continuous interaction with customers and coworkers in a fast-paced environment. May be asked to work at cash register station (see Cashier). The average weight range of items lifted is 5 – 20 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 50 pounds occasionally. You may receive assistance with heavy items, if available. Upper extremity repetition is moderate and trunk movement involves moderate twisting, bending, and pivoting. May be exposed to various allergens (things that may cause an allergic reaction). The work environment is indoors with occasional exposure to cold (33° – 55°) temperatures near hot equipment (exceeds 135°) and seasonal outdoor temperatures and weather.
