Wendy’s of Western Virginia, a locally owned franchise, has 14 restaurants and is looking for energetic Shift Managers to assist with staff and operations across locations in Roanoke and Lynchburg.

In 1975 Wendy’s opened its first location on Electric Road, and since then we have grown steadily to 14 restaurants, with plans for continued expansion.

Responsibilities

• Work with your team to create a restaurant of choice by providing the best food in a friendly and fast paced environment.
• Properly manage your shift by using Wendy’s Systems.
• Manage, empower, and assist your team in achieving organizational goals that support our collective goal of “Service Excellence” for every customer that we serve.
• Perform HR duties for employees in a way that maximizes employee engagement and retention.
• Interview and recommend candidates for selection to achieve proper staffing levels.
• Provide A+ training for every employee through our established systems.
• Assist General Manager with administrative tasks.
• Ensure all food safety procedures are executed at a high level, in accordance with both Company and Health Department standards.

Requirements

• Restaurant/Retail experience (Experienced in serving customers)
• Ability to work flexible schedules that may include late nights and breakfast (Most drive-thrus open till midnight)
• Customer Service Skills, Effective Communication, Leadership/Organizational Skills.
• The Shift Manager must be able to stand for long periods without a break, and be able to travel to the bank, other restaurants, Area Office, etc.
• Reliability is a must.
