Job description

Wendy's of Western Virginia, a locally owned franchise with 14 restaurants, is hiring energetic Shift Managers to assist team by managing staff and operations at one of our many locations across Roanoke and Lynchburg.

We offer extensive skills training, multiple bonus programs, and promotion opportunities. Many of our General Managers come from Shift Manager positions. If you are a highly motivated and dedicated manager, you can quickly advance to various management roles.

Responsibilities

• Work with your team to create a restaurant of choice by providing the best food in a friendly and fast-paced environment.
• Properly manage your shift by using Wendy's Systems.
• Manage, empower, and assist your team in achieving organizational goals supporting our collective goal of "Service Excellence" for every customer.
• Perform HR duties in a way that maximizes employee engagement and retention.
• Interview and recommend candidates to achieve proper staffing levels.
• Provide A+ training for every employee through our established systems.
• Assist the General Manager with administrative tasks.
• Ensure all food safety procedures are executed at a high level, in accordance with both Company and Health Department standards.

Requirements

• Restaurant/Retail experience (experienced in serving customers).
• Ability to work flexible schedules that may include late nights and breakfast (most drive‑thrus open till midnight).
• Customer service skills, effective communication, leadership/organizational skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods without a break, and travel to the bank, other restaurants, area office, etc.
• Reliability is a must.
