Job summary
Super Star Car Wash is seeking a Shift Manager/Manager-on-Duty to lead daily operations at our Apache Junction location. You will manage staffing, safety, and service standards while ensuring smooth shift transitions and outstanding guest experiences.
This role focuses on developing people and advancing into broader operations leadership. The ideal candidate has supervisory experience in retail, hospitality, or car wash environments, strong communication skills, and a hands-on leadership style.
Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience
- Retail, hospitality, or car wash experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, make decisions, and drive results
Responsibilities
- Lead daily shift execution including staffing, safety, and service standards
- Serve as Manager-on-Duty, resolving guest and team issues with discretion
- Ensure smooth shift transitions through clear communication and follow-through
- Maintain operational readiness with opening and closing procedures
- Coach and develop team members, provide shoulder-to-shoulder coaching
- Uphold safety and brand standards and address risks immediately
- Lead rotational focus areas in people, sales, and operations

Shift Managers are the operational leaders who drive our business daily. As Manager-on-Duty, you are accountable for driving onsite culture, team performance, safety, service execution, and the overall guest experience. This role is ideal for leaders who thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy developing people, and are looking for a clear pathway into higher-level operational leadership. Shift Managers rotate through defined areas of responsibility to build well rounded leadership, business, and operational skills.
- Own daily shift execution, including staffing, business flow, safety, and service standards
- Serve as Manager-on-Duty, resolving guest and team issues with confidence and discretion
- Ensure smooth shift transitions through clear communication and follow-through
- Execute opening and closing procedures and maintain operational readiness
- Lead, coach, and hold team members accountable to operational standards
- Provide shoulder to shoulder coaching and celebrate and recognize team members
- Support training completion and promote a culture of engagement and accountability
- Model company values and enforce policies and procedures
- Proactively identify safety risks and address issues immediately
- Ensure consistent execution of brand and cleanliness standards
- People & Staffing Leadership -- Scheduling, onboarding support, attendance tracking, performance documentation, and training compliance
- Sales & Training Leadership -- Team training, coaching sales behaviors, certification support, and identifying development gaps
- Operations & Tunnel Leadership -- Site cleanliness, equipment readiness, preventive maintenance coordination, and lot organization
- At least 18 years of age
