Job summary

Ontario Trillium Foundation in Windsor, CT is seeking a Shift Leader to help run our restaurant team and deliver a standout guest experience. You will support the Restaurant Manager, coach teammates, and ensure brand standards are met to keep shifts running smoothly.

In this fast-paced environment, you’ll lead by example, communicate clearly, and foster a positive, guest-focused atmosphere. Strong English skills and basic computer literacy are essential, with prior hospitality leadership

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Leadership experience in retail/restaurant/hospitality preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate Team Members during each shift.
• Delegate tasks and communicate shift goals and priorities.
• Coach employees with timely, constructive feedback.
• Support onboarding and training of new Team Members.
• Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
• Perform all Team Member responsibilities as needed.
• Support the Restaurant Manager in achieving operational and sales goals.
• Ensure all food, beverage, and service standards are consistently met.
• Monitor food quality, cleanliness, and overall restaurant appearance.
• Maintain inventory levels and communicate supply needs.
• Complete shift change communication to ensure smooth transitions.
• Deliver exceptional guest service and resolve guest concerns promptly.
• Lead by example by providing friendly, fast, and accurate service.
• Encourage Team Members to create a welcoming and positive guest experience.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health standards.
• Follow company policies related to safety, security, and loss prevention.
• Manage cash handling procedures and monitor cash over/short during each shift.
• Assist with employee scheduling as assigned.

Education/Experience:

• Basic computer skills
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Previous leadership experience in retail, restaurant or hospitality preferred.
