Job summary

Pizza Hut in Donaldsonville, LA is seeking a Shift Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations, delivering fast, friendly service while upholding food safety and quality standards. You will coach a diverse team across front counter, kitchen, and delivery roles to ensure smooth shifts from start to finish.

As a Shift Manager, you'll help lead day-to-day restaurant operations while ensuring great food, excellent service, food safety, cleanliness, and strong team performance.

What You'll Do

As a Shift Manager, you'll help lead successful restaurant shifts from start to finish. You will:

• Lead by example and provide direction and support to team members throughout the shift
• Assign positions and deploy team members based on business needs
• Ensure every guest receives fast, friendly, and accurate service
• Maintain Pizza Hut standards for food quality, preparation, order accuracy, and presentation
• Monitor speed of service and adjust team deployment as needed
• Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, temperature control, and food safety procedures are followed
• Complete required food safety and temperature logs accurately, honestly, and on time
• Immediately address and communicate any food safety concerns
• Ensure opening, closing, and shift-change procedures are completed properly
• Manage cash handling, register procedures, deposits, and assigned financial controls
• Monitor product levels and ensure proper stocking, rotation, and inventory procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe restaurant for guests and employees
• Coach team members in the moment and reinforce company policies and operating standards
• Help train and develop new and existing team members
• Communicate equipment, maintenance, staffing, food safety, and operational concerns to restaurant management
• Monitor labor and staffing during assigned shifts
• Help control food waste and ensure proper portioning and product handling
• Handle guest concerns professionally and work to resolve issues quickly
• Create a positive, respectful, and accountable workplace
• Support delivery, kitchen, front counter, and other restaurant positions as needed

What We're Looking For

• Previous restaurant, retail, or customer-service experience preferred
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong communication and people skills
• Ability to lead by example and provide clear direction to team members
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work with a sense of urgency
• Strong attention to food safety, cleanliness, and operational standards
• Ability to coach team members and hold standards consistently
• Ability to remain calm and make good decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to handle cash and follow financial-control procedures
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
• Ability to perform the physical duties required in a fast-paced restaurant environment
