Job summary

The Shift Leader is responsible for assisting the General Manager or Person In Charge (on duty) with management activities and duties.

This role works with the Restaurant Management Team to ensure all activities are consistent with and supportive of the restaurant’s business plan and ensures all Crew Persons and Team Leaders are performing their job responsibilities and meeting expectations in all areas of their job description.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years of restaurant management experience or education.
• Strong planning and time management skills.
• Team-building and leadership abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and cash-handling troubleshooting.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist General Manager with management activities.
• Lead shift activities and support business plan goals.
• Ensure crew and team leaders perform duties and meet expectations.
• Provide quality product and customer service experience.
• Improve performance of crew members.
• Participate in training and company meetings.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external contacts.
• Adapt to changing business conditions and take on special projects.
