Job summary

Jersey Mike's Westminster #22042 is looking for a proactive Shift Leader to help run daily restaurant operations and foster an engaging, guest-focused environment. You will guide staff, ensure subs meet quality standards, and model exceptional service at all times.

As a Shift Leader, you will train crew members, manage opening/closing tasks, and uphold food safety and cleanliness. This role emphasizes leadership development and teamwork within a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant, food service, or customer service.
• Previous shift leadership experience preferred.
• Able to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh subs following Jersey Mike's quality standards.
• Coach, support, and motivate Crew Members during each shift.

What You'll Do

As a Shift Leader, you'll help lead day-to-day restaurant operations while creating an environment where both customers and team members thrive. Responsibilities include:

• Leading the team during assigned shifts by setting the example through positive leadership and exceptional customer service
• Delivering an outstanding guest experience while ensuring every customer receives a "Sub Above" experience
• Preparing fresh, high-quality subs and ensuring food is made according to Jersey Mike's standards
• Coaching, supporting, and motivating Crew Members throughout each shift
• Assisting with training and onboarding new team members
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and food-safe restaurant environment
• Monitoring food quality, cleanliness, and operational standards
• Managing shift execution, including opening and closing responsibilities
• Assisting with inventory, product rotation, and minimizing food waste
• Handling customer questions and resolving concerns professionally
• Supporting the General Manager and Assistant Manager with daily restaurant operations

Previous shift leadership experience is preferred but not required. We value individuals with strong leadership potential who are eager to learn and grow.

Requirements

• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Reliable attendance and transportation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Must meet applicable age requirements for operating certain equipment, including slicer equipment, where required by state or local regulations
• Food safety certification may be required and will be provided through training if applicable
