Job summary

Noah's New York Bagels is seeking a Shift Leader in Walnut Creek, CA. The role focuses on leading the team, ensuring guest experience, and maintaining store standards with a friendly, collaborative approach.

Responsibilities include opening/closing with minimal supervision, coaching staff, and upholding quality and safety. The company emphasizes work-life balance and growth from within the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to work varied hours including early hours and weekends.
• Must be able to pass background check as applicable.
• ServSafe Certification prior to completion of leadership training is required.
• Valid driver’s license preferred or required at some locations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the General Manager to motivate the team and deliver a great guest experience.
• Provide feedback and coaching to team members as needed.
• Open and close the store with little to no supervision.
• Maintain food and beverage quality and a safe, clean store environment.

Our Shift Leaders collaborate directly with the General Manager to help motivate the team to deliver a great guest experience. We empower Shift Leaders to take charge and set the morale and tone of the team. They provide feedback and coach team members when needed. Shift Leaders open and close the store with little to no supervision. Our teams take pride in ensuring the quality of the food and beverages we serve; and by keeping a safe and clean store environment. As a Shift Leader, you will have the opportunity to rise like one of our bagels and grow your career. Many of our General Managers started as Shift Leaders and Team Members!

What we are looking for:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be able to work varied hours/days as business dictates including early hours (as early as 3am depending on the restaurant) and weekends
• Must be able to pass background check as applicable with local, state, and federal law
• Must be in possession of, or able to acquire, a ServSafe Certification prior to completion of leadership training
• Possession of a current, valid, state issued driver's license (always preferred but only required at specific locations) and meet the driving qualifications as required by Company policy
• Tip eligibility subject to state regulations

Address: 730 Bancroft Rd , Walnut Creek, California 94598. Hourly Rate: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour. Starting pay is subject to Local and State Minimum Wage regulations. Ranges reflect what employer reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for such position.
