Job summary

Jersey Mike's in Utah is seeking a Shift Leader to guide day-to-day restaurant operations and foster a positive, high‑performing team culture. You will mentor crew members, ensure top‑notch guest experiences, and uphold Jersey Mike's standards for food quality and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant, food service, or customer service.
• Leadership experience or willingness to step into a leadership role.

• Food safety certification may be required and will be provided if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team during assigned shifts by setting the example through positive leadership and exceptional customer service.
• Deliver an outstanding guest experience while ensuring every customer receives a "Sub Above" experience.
• Prepare fresh, high-quality subs and ensure food is made according to Jersey Mike's standards.
• Coach, support, and motivate Crew Members throughout each shift.
• Assist with training and onboarding new team members.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe restaurant environment.
• Monitor food quality, cleanliness, and operational standards.
• Manage shift execution, including opening and closing responsibilities.
• Assist with inventory, product rotation, and minimizing food waste.
• Handle customer questions and resolving concerns professionally.
• Support the General Manager and Assistant Manager with daily restaurant operations.

What You'll Do

Previous shift leadership experience is preferred but not required. We value individuals with strong leadership potential who are eager to learn and grow.

Requirements

• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Reliable attendance and transportation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Must meet applicable age requirements for operating certain equipment, including slicer equipment, where required by state or local regulations
• Food safety certification may be required and will be provided through training if applicable
