Job summary

Einstein Bros. Bagels is hiring a Shift Leader in Phoenix to motivate the team and deliver a great guest experience. You will open/close the store, coach staff, and ensure safe, clean operations with a focus on quality.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, being 18+, and the ability to work varied hours including early starts. ServSafe certification and a valid driver’s license are preferred where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to work varied hours, including early hours (as early as 3am) and weekends.
• Must pass background check as applicable by law.
• Possession of ServSafe Certification prior to leadership training.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the General Manager to motivate the team and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Open and close the store with minimal supervision.
• Provide feedback and coach team members as needed.
• Maintain quality of food and beverages and safe, clean store environment.

What’s a day in the life of a Shift Leader? Our Shift Leaders collaborate directly with the General Manager to help motivate the team to deliver a great guest experience. We empower Shift Leaders to take charge and set the morale and tone of the team. They provide feedback and coach team members when needed. Shift Leaders open and close the store with little to no supervision. Our teams take pride in ensuring the quality of the food and beverages we serve; and by keeping a safe and clean store environment. As a Shift Leader, you will have the opportunity to rise like one of our bagels and grow your career. Many of our General Managers started as Shift Leaders and Team Members!

What we are looking for:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be able to work varied hours/days as business dictates including early hours (as early as 3am depending on the restaurant) and weekends
• Must be able to pass background check as applicable with local, state, and federal law
• Must be in possession of, or able to acquire, a ServSafe Certification prior to completion of leadership training
• Possession of a current, valid, state issued driver’s license (always preferred but only required at specific locations) and meet the driving qualifications as required by Company policy
• *Tip eligibility subject to state regulations.
