This entry-level management position assists the management team by ensuring total guest dining satisfaction. The primary role of the Shift Leader is to ensure hospitality excellence by managing, coaching, and delegating to employees to ensure the timely delivery of top-quality food, friendly and welcoming behaviors, and that high cleanliness and sanitation standards are maintained.

Shift Leader Responsibilities
  1. Protects the cash assets of the restaurant during each shift, including counting and verifying the safe and cash drawers, completing deposit slips, and maintaining logs.
  2. Works with the management team to achieve maximum sales and profits while maintaining operational standards and procedures.
  3. Enforces all company policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring compliance with laws regarding wages, hours, and sanitation.
  4. Implements advertising and promotions in coordination with the Marketing Department, ensuring proper food preparation and presentation.
  5. Maintains safety and sanitation standards in the restaurant.
  6. Assists in employee training and development.
  7. Supports guest satisfaction initiatives.
  8. Maintains professional appearance and adheres to uniform standards.
Shift Leader Job Skills
  1. High School Diploma or GED.
  2. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and perform physical activities such as bending, reaching, and climbing stairs.
  3. Capacity to work long hours and stand for extended periods.
  4. Ability to read, count, write, and follow recipes accurately.
