Job description

As a Shift Leader at our Downtown Boston store located at 61 Bromfield St, Boston MA 02108, you are the captain of our bakery during your shift! You understand what it takes to “Own the Night” (and beyond), by predicting the flow of business during a successful shift. Your hands-on leadership style should include building orders, suggestive selling, baking, and interacting with customers. It also means taking pride in knowing that your leadership as an Insomniac contributes to a productive and enjoyable night for your store!

WHAT WILL I DO AS A SHIFT LEADER?

• Provide excellent customer service and quality products to all guests

• Support store operations during your shift, communicate pertinent information, monitor efficiency, uphold company standards, and assist in training and coaching team members

• Prioritize and delegate tasks for baking, cashiering, packaging, and cleaning while leading the cookie crew

• Support and work alongside the Cookie Crew

• Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to safe food handling practices

• Manage cash handling and deposits

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• At least 1 year of experience in a customer service role

• Experience with Point of Sale systems

• Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills

• Outgoing, friendly, and patient demeanor

• Detail-oriented and results-driven

• Ability to lead by example and motivate others

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

• Legally eligible to work in the United States

• Must be 18 years or older
