Job summary

Einstein Bros Bagels in Berkley, MI is seeking a Shift Leader to motivate the team and deliver a great guest experience. You will help set the tone, coach staff, and ensure quality across food and service in a fast-paced environment.

As a Shift Leader, you will open/close with minimal supervision, maintain a safe, clean store, and support the General Manager in daily operations. This role offers growth potential and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to work varied hours including early mornings and weekends.
• Pass background check as applicable with local, state, and federal law.
• Must possess or obtain ServSafe Certification prior to leadership training.
• Driver's license preferred or required at certain locations.
• Tip eligibility varies by state.
• Additional benefits eligibility subject to hire guidelines at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the General Manager to motivate the team and deliver a great guest experience.
• Provide coaching and feedback to team members as needed.
• Open and close the store with minimal supervision.
• Maintain high standards for food and beverage quality and store safety/cleanliness.
• Opportunities for career growth, with many General Managers starting as Shift Leaders or Team Members.

What’s a day in the life of a Shift Leader?

Our Shift Leaders collaborate directly with the General Manager to help motivate the team to deliver a great guest experience. We empower Shift Leaders to take charge and set the morale and tone of the team. They provide feedback and coach team members when needed. Shift Leaders open and close the store with little to no supervision. Our teams take pride in ensuring the quality of the food and beverages we serve; and by keeping a safe and clean store environment. What We Are Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be able to work varied hours/days as business dictates including early hours (as early as 3am depending on the restaurant) and weekends
• Must be able to pass background check as applicable with local, state, and federal law
• Must be in possession of, or able to acquire, a ServSafe Certification prior to completion of leadership training
• Possession of a current, valid, state issued driver’s license (always preferred but only required at specific locations) and meet the driving qualifications as required by Company policy
• Tip eligibility subject to state regulations.
• Additional benefits eligibility is subject to position guidelines at time of hire.
