Job summary

Dairy Queen in Texas is seeking enthusiastic, energetic team members for shift supervision in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You will greet fans, maintain service quality, and support management in training and daily operations.

A minimum 6+ months in quick-service, a high school diploma, and ServSafe certification are required. Responsibilities include ensuring proper staffing, a clean and safe environment, and driving speed of service.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of high-volume quick service restaurant experience

• Capable of supervising specific areas in a fast-paced setting
• Strong knowledge of safe food handling practices
• ServSafe certifiable
• Organized, detail oriented and able to work under pressure

Responsibilities

• Be an ambassador of the Dairy Queen brand and be professional in every aspect of performance
• Greet and welcome fans to the Dairy Queen brand
• Exceed fan expectations with fan-first service and timely, quality service
• Assist in managing specific areas of the restaurant during shifts
• Pace the crew to high performance and resolve bottlenecks
• Help train and coach crew members to build a skilled team
• Ensure the restaurant is organized and staffed
• Maintain a positive, safe, clean environment for fans and team members
• Resolve fan concerns per Dairy Queen service standards
• Be a cooperative team player with management and staff

Job Functions:

• Assist in the management of specific areas of the restaurant during scheduled shifts
• Pace the crew to high levels of performance by understanding the importance of speed of service and resolve bottlenecks in work flow
• Assist the GM and Assistant Manager(s) with training and coaching crew members to build a highly skilled and productive team
• Ensure that the restaurant is properly organized and staffed
• Create and maintain a positive, safe, clean, and inviting environment for fans and team members
• Calmly solve fan concerns and embrace Dairy Queen's service recovery standards
• Be a willing team player and maintain a cooperative, harmonious working relationship with management and team members
• Models performance standards for all team members and work stations
• At all times exhibit a genuine passion for excellence
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

• Minimum 6+ months of high volume quick service restaurant experience required
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be capable of supervising specific areas of the business in a fast-paced environment
• Strong knowledge and application of safe food handling practices
• Must be ServSafe® certifiable
• Practice established food handling procedures and meet any local health regulations
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Work well under pressure packed situations while maintaining a great attitude
• Comfortable standing for entire shift and able to lift 50 pounds
• Exhibit good manners, proper personal hygiene, and promptness
