Job summary

Jersey Mike's Subs in the United States is seeking an energetic and dedicated manager to lead our quick-service team. You will supervise operations, greet customers, and ensure accurate orders while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards.

The role requires at least 1 year in fast food/quick service management, strong English communication, and a willingness to work varying shifts including weekends. A high school diploma is required, with travel and a valid driver's license as assets.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, record orders, and serve food and beverages with a consistently positive and helpful attitude.
• Input orders into a point-of-sale system and accept payment using a credit card reader or cash register.
• Prepare cold and hot subs to customer specifications following cooking instructions and safety procedures.
• Use kitchen machinery such as knives, grills, and slicers.
• Maintain restaurant cleanliness daily; clear wipe tables; sweep and mop floors; sanitize utensils; service restrooms.
• Communicate with team and management to create schedules, train staff, and resolve issues.
• Handle customer concerns and resolve problems according to Jersey Mike's standards.
• Keep a neat appearance by wearing the required uniform and adhering to dress code.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, record orders, and serve food and beverages with a consistently positive and helpful attitude, including answering questions about the menu.
• Input orders into a point-of-sale system and accept payment using a credit card reader or cash register, calculating change accurately and quickly as required.
• Work together with the line team to prepare cold and hot subs to customer specifications, while following cooking instructions, safety procedures, and sanitary requirements.
• Use specific kitchen machinery such as knives, grills, slicers, etc.
• Ensure restaurant cleanliness daily by clearing and wiping tables, sweeping and mopping floors, washing and sanitizing kitchen utensils, and servicing restrooms.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management to create work schedules, train new employees, and resolve any interpersonal issues as needed.
• Handle customer concerns and complaints professionally and calmly to resolve problems according to Jersey Mike's standards and policy.
• Maintain a neat and tidy appearance by wearing required uniform and adhering to a corporate dress code.

COMPENSATION

Wages are commensurate with experience. Additionally, we offer a competitive benefits package including paid vacation. Successful employees have a high degree of potential for advancement.
