Job description

As a Shift Leader at our Amherst store located at 30 Main St, Amherst MA 01002, you are the captain of our bakery during your shift! You understand what it takes to "Own the Night" (and beyond), by predicting the flow of business and ensuring a successful shift. Your hands-on leadership should include building orders, suggestive selling, baking, and interacting with customers. It also means taking pride in knowing that your leadership as an Insomniac contributes to a productive and enjoyable night for your store!

WHAT WILL I DO AS A SHIFT LEADER?

  • Provide excellent customer service and quality products to all guests throughout their experience in our bakery
  • Support store leadership by maintaining operations during your shift, communicating important information, monitoring production efficiency, ensuring team members adhere to company standards and procedures, and assisting in training and coaching
  • Maintain a safe, clean environment for guests and staff, following safe food handling practices
  • Manage cash handling and deposits

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a customer service role
  • Experience with Point of Sale systems
  • Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented and results-driven
  • Ability to lead by example and motivate others
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Must be 18 years or older
