Job summary

Jimmy John's is seeking Shift Leaders to coach Crew Members and ensure operations reflect our Brand standards while delivering a friendly guest experience.

You will set goals, assign tasks, and motivate the team, providing timely feedback to drive performance and guest satisfaction. Prior supervisory experience and strong communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Fluent English required.
• Experience in restaurant, retail, or supervisory roles preferred.
• Strong math and writing abilities for reports and orders.
• Basic computer skills for cash handling and POS use.
• Minimum age 18; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coach crew members during shifts to meet Brand standards and guest experience.
• Communicate shift priorities, goals and results to the team.
• Support training of crew members and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain a guest-first culture and resolve guest issues.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and Brand standards in all tasks.
• Drive sales and execute restaurant standards and marketing initiatives.

We are looking for Shift Leaders to join our Jimmy John's team!

Shift Leaders are responsible for coaching Crew Members throughout their shift to execute operational Brand standards and deliver a great and friendly guest experience. They set goals, provide job assignments, and motivate others, celebrating successes and providing timely feedback.

Responsibilities:

Team Environment:

• Support a respectful team environment
• Communicate shift priorities, goals and results with team members
• Support the training of crew members as requested
• Provide coaching and feedback to crew members

Operational Excellence:

• Create and maintain a guest first culture in the restaurant
• Resolve guest issues
• Ensure Brand standards, recipes, and systems are executed
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing safety, food safety and sanitation guidelines; comply with local and state laws

Profitability:

• Drive sales goals and results
• Execute restaurant standards and marketing initiatives
• Manage cash over/short during shift
• Ensure all products are prepared according to Brand standards

Skills and Qualifications:

• Fluent in English
• Restaurant, retail, or supervisory experience

• At least 18 years of age (where applicable)
