Job summary

Blank Street, Inc. is hiring for a customer service leadership role in our Washington, DC area. You will craft coffee and matcha beverages, deliver outstanding hospitality, and train new staff to adhere to recipes and store procedures.

The position requires lifting up to 25+ lbs, standing for extended periods, and availability for full-time hours including peak Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Prior leadership in hospitality or coffee is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a customer service leadership position (e.g. Shift Leader, Shift Supervisor, Key Holder), preferably in hospitality, coffee, or beverage.
• 18+ years of age and authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to lift 25+ lbs and stand for long periods.
• Full Time: 30-40 hours per week, 4-5 days, with 2 peak days (Fri–Sun).

Responsibilities

• Craft beautiful coffee and matcha products.
• Provide exceptional hospitality to Blank Street customers.
• Support the GM and train new employees to follow recipes and store processes.
• Open and close the store safely with all checklists followed.
• Handle and resolve customer issues that occur.
• Lead and support initiatives to increase foot traffic, daily sales, and profitability.

What You’ll Own

Requirements

• 2+ years’ experience in a customer service leadership position (e.g. Shift Leader Shift Supervisor, Key Holder), preferably in hospitality, coffee, or beverage
• 18+ years of age
• Able to lift 25+ lbs, and to stand for long periods of time
• Availability that meets the needs of our cafes
  • Full Time: 30-40 hours per week, 4-5 days per week and must be able to work 2 peak days (peak days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
  • Weekend and holiday availability preferred
• You must be authorized to work in the U.S.: upon acceptance of a job offer and completion of the Form I-9 with acceptable documents, Blank Street will provide the federal government with employees’ Form I-9 information to confirm authorization to work in the U.S. (a process known as ”E-Verify”)
