Job summary

TO Plastics in Otsego, MN is seeking a Production Worker on 3rd shift (8:45pm–6:45am, M–Th) to support supervision in scheduling, setup, and training. The role includes safety accountability, directing hourly staff, and driving continuous improvement while coordinating with the shift team.

Compensation ranges from $29.90 to $32.20 per hour including a 15% differential. A comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to advance within a growing plastics production environment are offered.

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisors in job scheduling, job set-up, job completion and training of employees to effectively work in their designated areas.

Main Responsibilities

• Obey all safety policies and procedures, always work in a safe manner and report unsafe conditions or hazards.
• Oversee and provide daily direction to the employees within their work area.
• Monitor assigned duties and ensure the processes remain in control and operate efficiently.
• Monitor the process and notify appropriate person when issues arise beyond their abilities to resolve.
• Track productivity provide feedback and coaching to staff and utilize" visual boards" and other methods to communicate to the staff.
• Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Assist the Supervisor and functions as their backup when their unavailable.
• Data entry of shift reporting into TMM.

Secondary

• Assist in training of all production personnel
• Maintain work area in a neat and organized manner performing housekeeping duties.
• Attend and participate in safety, toolbox and other meetings.
• Perform other duties as requested by supervisor/manager
