Job summary

ADVATIX - Advanced Supply Chain and Logistics seeks a Shift Lead to ensure warehouse/production operations are performed under controlled conditions; safely and efficiently. Assist supervisors in coaching and training team members; provide support to supervisors.

This role coordinates work direction, adjusts methods and labor levels to meet service deliverables, and collaborates with other departments to meet client SLA and KPI.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; a 4-year college degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of warehouse leadership experience.
• Lean Manufacturing experience and use of warehouse automation (RF, Voice) a plus.
• Proficient in Excel and Word; strong math and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team leadership role; lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisor in assigning work-direction to team members

• Responsible for training and coaching employees
• Provide ongoing information to supervisor regarding performance and participate in discussions
• Support ISO audits and ISO certification requirements
• Promote LEAN Manufacturing activities
• Promote 5-S to maintain clean, organized and safe work area; conduct audits where assigned
• Regularly updating work instructions and process flows
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
• Support corporate quality, health and safety standards, processes, policies, practices and work instructions
• All other duties as assigned

Shift Lead

Ensure that all warehouse/production operations are performed under controlled conditions; safely and efficiently. Assist supervisors in coaching and training team members; provide support to supervisors.

• Assist supervisor in assigning work-direction to team members
• Assist with determining appropriate production methods and labor levels to meet service deliverables by understanding the impact of work flow on productions by meeting performance standards
• Work and communicate with supervisor, team members and other departments to meet client SLA and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) as required
• Responsible for training and coaching employees
• Provide ongoing information to supervisor regarding team member performance and participate in performance discussions
• Where applicable assist ISO Coordinator in ISO Audits and ISO certification requirements
• Promote LEAN Methodology by assisting in LEAN Manufacturing activities
• Promote 5-S to maintain a clean, organized and safe work area; comply with all safety and quality policies and conduct audits where assigned
• Regularly updating work instructions and process flows
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
• Support and maintain corporate quality, health and safety standards, processes, policies, practices and work instructions. (ISO standards where applicable)
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications (Experience, Education, Knowledge, Skills) Required

• High School Diploma/GED required; 4-year college degree preferred
• Previous leadership responsibilities required
• A minimum of 2 years’ warehouse experience preferred
• Lean Manufacturing experience and use of various warehouse automation equipment (RF, Voice, Etc.) a plus
• PC skills including Excel and Word
• Excellent math, reading, and communication (both verbal and written) skills
• Ability to effectively communicate and provide coaching and feedback to employees
• Superior attention to detail to ensure accuracy
• Ability to work independently and in a team leadership role
• Ability to balance and effectively utilize team resources
• Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds solo and greater weights in a team-lift environment

Physical requirements include: lifting, carrying, bending, stretching, and standing for long periods of time
